Mexico is one of those countries you could never get bored of—travel month after month and it’ll never get old! It’s also a perfect destination to consider when planning for a destination wedding like our spotlight couple, Laura and Vlad.

When Laura and Vlad spoke of planning their destination wedding at Barcelo Maya Colonial, I was SO on board! For those that reside in Canada— just imagine leaving in the midst of winter (specifically February) to get away for a week—the sight of palm trees swaying against the breeze and humidity in the air…EXACTLY!

From the moment I landed, Laura and Vlad effortlessly made me feel like family rather than just the photographer. I was included in all the family festivities arranged— especially the dinners that’d last until 6:00am the next morning. Once the wedding day rolled around, it felt like I was apart of the celebration—celebrating very close friends of mine as they tie the knot. It was all smiles, love and laughter..nothing short of beautiful.
